  7.      You have on your floppy disk DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT, an unregistered
  8.      shareware version of an excellent relational database designed for
  9.      anyone with a local delivery or service route.
  10.  
  11.      DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT is one of the easiest programs in the world to
  12.      install and use, and will give you a taste of how powerful Midwest
  13.      Software Company's DELIVERY ROUTE line of computer applications
  14.      really are.
  15.  
  16.      The best way to get started is to copy the Getting Started booklet to
  17.      your printer.  You do this by typing the following at the DOS prompt:
  18.                           copy getstart.doc prn
  19.      then press the Enter key.  The Getting Started booklet will take you
  20.      step-by-step through installing DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT, and tell you
  21.      about the important things that are happening along the way.  And 
  22.      it's only two pages long.

  24.      If you are a beginner, you can stop reading this document right about
  25.      here.  The rest of this is for people who like to know about all the
  26.      files on the disk and what they do.  This is "nice to know stuff,"
  27.      but not essential to getting started with DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT.  Just
  28.      make sure you have all nine files listed below, and you'll be OK.

  31.      Your disk should contain the following nine files:

  33.         1. DRLT.BAT     -This is the batch program that starts up DELIVERY
  34.                         ROUTE LIGHT after you've installed it on your
  35.                         hard drive.
  36.  
  37.         2. DRLTONE.EXE  -This is a compressed file that contains most of
  38.                         the files you need to run DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT.
  39.  
  40.         3. INSTALL.EXE  -This is the program that will put all the right
  41.                         programs and files in all the right places on your
  42.                         hard drive.  This is simplicity itself:  this
  43.                         program suggests a directory to put DELIVERY ROUTE
  44.                         LIGHT into, asks a few Yes-or-No questions, and
  45.                         poof!  It installs DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT for you!

  47.         4. MSCBKUP.EXE  -This is a compressed file that allows people who
  48.                         use MS-DOS 6.0 and above do backups properly.
  49.  
  50.         5. TESTDATA.EXE -This is the file that contains all the sample
  51.                         data for the tutorial, and to use to help you
  52.                         learn your way around DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT.

  54.         6. GETSTART.DOC -This is the Getting Started Booklet.  Print this
  55.                         on your printer, and you will have step-by-step
  56.                         instructions on how to install this database
  57.                         application.  It's really simple.

  64.         7. REGIST.DOC   -This is the registration and order form.

  66.         8. OTHER.DOC    -This is miscellaneous information that you need
  67.                         to read.

  69.         9. README.1ST   -This document that you're looking at.

  72.      If any of these files is missing, you might not be able to install or
  73.      run DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT properly.  If you need another copy of
  74.      DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT, contact the source from which you obtained this

  76.      happy to send you another diskette with DELIVERY ROUTE LIGHT on it
